Wembley - a great backyard soccer game

Wembley is a great soccer game to play for around four or more players. You need a bit of space but only one goal so you can conceivably play in a back garden or on the street - jumpers for goalposts and all that!
The basic premise is that you have one goalkeeper who will remain in goal for the tournament(!). The other players will then compete against each other to reach the (Wembley) final which will be the contested by the last two players.
Say there are five players, one will go in goal and the other 4 will all compete against each other in the first round. When one scores he (or she) is through to the next round and waits on the sidelines. The remaining players continue the first round until somebody is eliminated. Then 3 players (plus the goalkeeper) compete in the semi-final and so on…. eventually you will get to 2 in the final which is usually played to first one to score three goals - that player then wins the cup.
Wembley is a really good, fun and above all competitive challenge which will help dribbling, ball retention and shooting skills. If you have enough players try it in teams of 2 .. good luck!
