Soccer Games - Head It .. Catch It

A great warm up game involving a soccer ball and very little else is ‘head it, catch it’ which can be played with any number of players. All players stand around in a circle with one player in the middle who will throw the soccer ball. The thrower will go round the circle throwing the ball at each player in turn at head height and tell them to either ‘head it’ or ‘catch it’. with me so far? Read on for the catch!
The idea is that the person receiving the ball has to do the opposite ie: if told to head it
he has to catch it and vice versa. It he doesn’t he is ‘out. This game can get very confusing if played at speed, and as a variation, go round the group randomly, so individual player don’t know when they will be receiving the ball .
